Knowing how the weather will be is important. Knowing how it is just as much. Power plants, airports, wind and solar parks, incinerators and landfills – they all need wind, temperature, radiation data and more. Reliably and up to date.
For just about any parameter that can be monitored Adcon provides a wide range of options to choose from.
Particularly meteorological services are very picky when it comes to the quality of sensors, and only the best is good enough. That’s why we carefully select for you the right sensors for the right application. Choose the right sensor for your needs:
Solar radiation: we offer almost the full range of Kipp & Zonen products
Temperature and relative humidity: choose between our own TR1 sensor and a range of Vaisala products
Precipitation: select the model you wish amongst 2 different versions of Adcon’s RG1 model, and 2 different version of our professional rain gauge, built for us by one of Germany’s top manufacturers in this industry.
Wind speed and direction: while we offer a Swiss made combi sensor for standard and agricultural applications, we offer a professional set of sensors, built for us by one of Germany’s top manufacturers in this industry. On top of this we alos provide you with high-end ultra-sonic sensors such as the WS425 fro Vaisala. Most of these sensors are also available in heated versions.
Water quality: we provide top quality sensors built by In-Situ in the USA, measuring parameters such as conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, nitrates, phosphates and ammonia. The SDI-12 interface available on all Adcon RTUs provides compatibility to many other products, such as the Hydrolab, YSI and Greenspan range of sensors.
WMO accurately specifies the requirements sensors have to meet in order to be considered professional met equipment. These requirements go far beyond conventional applications like agriculture. Beyond the pure sensor specs WMO also specifies sampling and storage intervals and the rules for averaging.
Data loggers must therefore offer a high degree of flexibility in their programming options, and have interfaces for a wide variety of sensor outputs. But it”s also of the utmost importance that data is not only stored and infrequently read, thus reducing its value to only be of historic interest. Data much rather needs to be available in almost real time and reliably be transmitted to a central station, where it”s processed and distributed.
Adcon offers several wind monitoring systems, which can be used for a variety of applications. They all have several features in common: extremely low power consumption, allowing for solar operation, high accuracy, integrated radio modem for permanent availability of data, high reliability and ease of installation.
Sensors available comprise both standard mechanical systems, using cups and vanes, as well as ultra sonic systems, which work without any moving parts, and offer a heating option for particularly tough environments.
As an accessory for mechanical wind speed sensors Adcon offers A508 WindMAX, a device that monitors wind speed permanently, without interruption, to catch even the shortest gust that might else be lost.
Adcon Telemetry has the right sensor for every application. Depending on the accuracy needed, the intensity to be monitored, the budget available you can choose from a wide range of sensors, from traditional tipping bucket and double spoon systems to the highly innovative Vaisala impact sensor, which calculates precipitation based on the sound of the droplets impact.
Forest fire prevention systems are composed of advanced tools for managing meteorogical data in order to predict the risk of fire. These systems analyzes data about precipitation and temperature taken from sensors to estimate the degree of drought in the monitored areas.
The humidity (ground level), temperature and the amount of rainfall is being telemonitored, and the data is transmited to a server and can be viewed on any device with Internet access.
